Acrylic (24 X 32)" on Masonite
Artists Comment:
I have been studying Wassily Kandinsky. I have also just purchased a painting
from Shana Dominguez. There are similarities in style between these two artists.
I was inspired by Shana to try and paint that kind of abstract painting. When
I took a painting class from John Holladay (see other artists paintings), many
years ago, he emphasized that every part of a painting should stand on its own
as a little mini painting. Well, last year I bought a colorful, but terrible
painting. I studied the painting surface until I found a mini painting that
interested me. This is what I used as the basis of this painting. This is the
first of a series of paintings that will based on these type mini paintings.
